Mark your calendar for Aug. 8-9 for the Fourth Annual Axtell SmokeEaters BBQ Contest in Axtell, Kansas. The event, sponsored by the Axtell Volunteer Fire Department, is a KCBS Sanctioned State Championship Event.
Categories include ribs, chicken, pork, beef brisket, and beans. The entry form is available online -- fees are $150 if you register by July 15, or $175 after July 15.
